Environmental Consultants for Wastewater Utilities
Material Matters has a long history of partnering with water and wastewater utilities to create custom solutions designed to meet your goals. Our experience is nationwide – we have served utilities in our home state of Pennsylvania, as well as in over 20 states across the country.
Trusted, Experienced Team with Nationwide Results
We bring utilities the personal connection of a small firm, while also providing you with a team of nationally experienced professionals – wastewater operators, engineers, soil scientists – to identify innovative, yet practical solutions.
We understand that each utility has a variety of wastewater and residuals questions, such as:
- “What is the most cost-effective way to manage our biosolids now?”
- “How do we improve dewaterability?”
- “What is the market for our biosolids in the future?”
Our experience with unique and challenging projects will help us guide you to an effective answer.
How We Work
Project Start-Up
Our process begins with an initial information-gathering meeting where we collect information about your needs and identify any specific challenges and specific requirements you may have.
We recognize that each of our clients are unique with diverse needs, so we need to get to know you to develop a project plan to meet your needs. We will also collaborate with you to create a schedule and keep you updated every step of the way.
Project Management
Throughout our project, we will have regular progress meetings at a frequency comfortable for you. We have transparent working relationships with our partners so that no one is left in the dark!
We want you to feel comfortable with the process start to finish. While we understand our wastewater expertise is critical component as to why you hire us, we also understand effective communication, planning, and collaboration is how we continue to serve you.
Project Completion
As the project is winding down, we will continue our dialogue to ensure we have met (or exceeded!) your expectations. Our project plan close out also includes a client feedback survey for you to provide feedback on our strengths and areas for improvement.
